For telemetry interface, we keep track of it, I think it should align with IETF management plane telemetry standards, e.g., YANG Push/Notif series, IOAM,etc. unfortunately I see no good collaboration Between IETF and ONAP officially which show appreciation to each other. For 5G network slicing, it is a good area that needs more collaboration between IETF and ONAP, 3GPP. IETF has now setup up design team and focus on transport network slicing between RAN and CORE, it should be a good opportunity for IETF to work together with 3GPP and ONAP and validate and verity the solution proposed by IETF. This is something that could be potentially escalated in my opinion. In addition, since ONAP has SD-WAN related project, it is not clear how they collaborate with IETF and other SDOs on SD-WAN. Maybe this is something that should be considered by ONAP as well. The big challenging is about the scope of ONAP, it seems the scope of ONAP only focus on orchestration layer, drill down to network layer and device layer seems not scope of ONAP. -Qin ???: Magnus Buhrgard [mailto:magnus.buhrgard@ericsson.com] ????: 2019?11?18? 20:32 ???: evyncke@cisco.com; bclaise@cisco.com; Qin Wu ; wlupton@broadband-forum.org ??: Scott Mansfield ??: Potential for colaboration between IETF and ONAP regarding Network Management Dear IETFers, Let me start by apologizing for sending this unsolicited request to you. I have been appointed by ONAP to coordinate potential collaborations with other industry entities in the area of network management. Could you please tell me whether there are ongoing collaborations between IETF and ONAP that you know of? Do you have ideas for potential touch points? Is there anything you want me to escalate in ONAP? BR, Magnus MAGNUS BUHRGARD Ericsson ONAP Program Manager
