I know that ONAP can manage the vms of openstack. But can it manage the containers in the vm created by openstack?

I notice that the ONAP can be set up by Kubernetes. Kubernetes can manage the containers. But I didn't see Kubernetes in ONAP Architecture.

Can ONAP manage the containers in the vm now? Or will support this later?

Thanks

ChangJun

      Hi ChangJun,

The ONAP Operations Manager (OOM) uses Kubernetes to manage the ONAP components themselves but not the VNFs that are deployed by ONAP.  There is ongoing work within ONAP to manage container based VNFs but at best this would be a capability available in the Casablanca release.

      Cheers, Roger
