I encountered the same problem on Single VM. Refer to "How to Docker setup on Single VM HEAT Deployment" for AAI's Troubleshooting FAQ 2 "Containers are unable to connect to Cassandra DB":
If any docker container is unable to connect to cassandra container, edit "docker-compose-db.yml", and remove the "network_mode: host" config option from the cassandra docker config block, and repeat step 15.

I'm trying to bring up aai environment through docker, and i've already setup the aai-instance2.
But when i try to setup aai-instance1, i faced exception like this:
