In the Amsterdam release version, not able to add VNF from VID. Clicking "Add VNF" button does not display the list of VNFs to select from. Tried on IE11 (Update versions: 11.048), chrome v62.0.3202.94 and Mozilla v57.0.1.

Which browser and version was used during demo recording of vFW closed loop?

The browser console log is given below.

      Hi Milind, thanks for reporting.

I couldn't reproduce the issue, using Chrome 64bit. It's not the first time I hear about this though. I'll try to investigate and update.

        Hi Ofir Sonsino,

We are also facing same issue as reported by Milind Jalwadi. As per your statement, you weren't able to reproduce this issue in your chrome browser.

Could you share your environment details ( OS, Browser version & Arch ) here? We can try that.

For now, I'm looking to get past this stage...

        Thanks.

        BR,

        Viswa

      2. Ofir Sonsino

        I'm using Windows 7, Chrome 61.0.3163.100 (64-bit). Also tried FF 57.0 64bit.

Please share your env details too, maybe it helps us figure it out.

        Thanks

        Hi Ofir Sonsino,

Viswa and I working in the same team. We are using Chrome Version 61.0.3163.79 (Official Build) (32-bit) in windows server 64 bit machine

      4. Parshad Patel

        Hello,

We are also facing same issue. We are using Chrome Version 63.0.3239.132 (Official Build) (64-bit) in CentOS 7 64 bit machine.

Is there any fix available for this issue?

      5. Ofir Sonsino

We couldn't reproduce the bug, working on new user interface for Beijing so hopefully it will get solved.

As for the meantime, you can try Parvez's hack, by hitting F12 and change visibility of the DIV in the console, by running the following:

        $(".dropdown-menu").show()

Please let me know if it worked for you.

        Thanks

      6. Parshad Patel

Thanks for update. It worked for us.

      7. Changjun Wang

@Ofir Sonsino We are also facing the same issue.

        I tried chrome 63.0.3239.132(Official Build)(64-bit) in win7  x64,

and also tried firefox 59.0.2 (32-bit), it's also the same issue.

By the way the command " $(".dropdown-menu").show()  " works for me, thanks.

      8. Ofir Sonsino

Interesting. Thanks for the update. I'll try to embed the solution for Beijing release.

We're working on a brand new UI for VID. It will be available in Casablanca, then this issue will be resolved for sure.

      9. Changjun Wang

@Ofir Sonsino Now the button "Add VNF" works well with the same OS(win7 x64) and Chrome version(63.0.3239.132(Official Build)(64-bit))  after reinstall ONAP Amsterdam.

Maybe it's none of the bussiness of the version of OS and chrome, but the errors of the vms of ONAP.(onap-portal ?  I 'm not sure)

        Thanks

        ChangJun

      10. Ofir Sonsino

        onap-vid it is.

It's a tricky bug, we still couldn't reproduce it

      11. Ofir Sonsino

Can any of you share what service was it that made the issue occur?

Changjun Wang, was it the same service both when it worked and didn't work for you?

      12. Changjun Wang

@Ofir Sonsino I'm not sure which service made this issue occur because I reinstalled the full ONAP of amsterdam. Mybe the others who have this issue can try rebooting vid or portal and test again.

        Thanks

        ChangJun

We found that Google chrome on 32-bit machine (v62.0.3202.94) does not have this issue. But the issue persists for the same chrome version (Both 32-bit and 64-bit) on a 64-bit machine.
