Since the focus of ONAP is automated close control loop on VNFs, storing collected data for archiving has not been covered by DCAE scope. Such facilities are generally viewed as external resources that DCAE interfaces with, but not deployed by DCAE or managed by DCAE.
With this said, certain DCAE analytics do work on "recent data" which requires the analytics and DCAE to store a time window of data. In R1 we have TCA running on HDFS as an example.
DCAE does use databases to store artifacts such as CLAMP blueprints, processing states, and other information. For that we use Postgres and Redis.

Is there any functionality in DCAE that collects artifacts from different components and save them to MongoDB or any other DB?
Curious if you are asking for some specific application, or if you envision some general DB ingestion service? For example, DMaaP is intended to provide a data transport service between components, but would currently require some topic/feed specific subscriber to put data into some DB. Such subscribers might share some common functions, which might lead us to thinking about a configurable platform DB ingestion service.
