- ONAP should be able to address hybrid cloud situations (public/private)
- ONAP footprint reduction is key to enterprise and public cloud scenarios
- XGVela experience indicates a trend towards CNF-only, without the need for legacy technologies such as VNFs.
- There has been good progress transforming ONAP to a cloud-native architecture, in the OOM and other projects. There are other areas like monitoring that still need some adaptation to cloud-native.
- CNFs deployed on a public cloud could be more of "control plane" app, not the "data plane". These applications might be easier to deploy as they don't have special requirements like multiple NICs.
