Candidate's Statement

Andreas Geissler
Deutsche Telekom

I am an initial member of the ONAP project within Deutsche Telekom.

With more than 20 year experience as OSS Software/System Developer and Architect at Nokia/NSN,
I joined Deutsche Telekom 6 years ago as Senior Architect working in the "OSS Architecture & Innovation"
group of the "Technology Architecture & Innovation" department.

Located in Bonn, I am leading DT's ONAP Labs, in which we are hosting multiple ONAP instances used within
PoC projects as well as for automated installation and testing.

This year we founded a development project, which focusses to create a DT Network Automation platform using ONAP as basis. Within this project I act as lead system architect.

Dear ONAP community,

I would like to nominate myself as a TSC member of the ONAP community representing Deutsche Telekom AG.
I am member of the TSC since 2018 and would like to continue in that position in the coming election period.

Since 5 years in DT I am working with the ONAP platform in the phase of evaluation and several PoC projects in DT.
At that time we concentrated on operational aspects of ONAP as well as its functional aspects to orchestrate network services.
After proving its capabilities we decided to use ONAP as foundation for a DT’s own orchestration platform, in which I’m acting as
the lead system architect.

My DT colleagues, our partners and me are contributed to the ONAP releases in several projects, like Documentation,
Integration and CDS and are planning to extend our engagement in the near future.

Main focus for the coming releases will be the production readiness of the ONAP platform and the extension of its functionality.
Therefor I look forward to the opportunity to continue working in the TSC.

Best regards,

Andreas
