Note 2: the direct interfaces between the ETSI Catalog Manager and SVNFM / External NFVO won't be supported in Guilin. It is a future consideration.


The following diagram depict a use case of direct ETSI package management

  1. ETSI Catalog Manager subscribes to SDC to receive SDC notifications
  2. SVNFM subscribes to ETSI Catalog Manager
  3. External NFVO subscribes to ETSI Catalog Manager
  4. SDC sends a notification for a service package with VNF package
  5. ETSI Catalog Manager queries for an SDC package based on the notification
  6. ETSI Catalog Manager gets resource packages under the service package, and stores the ETSI SOL004 package
  7. ETSI Catalog Manager sends a notification to SVNFM for the ETSI VNF package
  8. SVNFM queries for a VNF package based on the notification
  9. SDC sends a notification for a service package with NS package
  10. ETSI Catalog Manager queries for an SDC package based on the notification
  11. ETSI Catalog Manager gets resource packages under the service package, and stores the ETSI SOL007 package
  12. ETSI Catalog manager sends a notification to External NFVO for the ETSI NS package
  13. External NFVO queries for a NS package based on the notification
