| Background description | Policy use its own base images based on alpine and adds a number of alpine packages to the image, including the following, which are GPL v3: coreutils, findutils, grep, wget. During a previous release, attempts were made to use the built-in commands based on busybox, but their functionality was found to be impaired, thus the GNU-based packages were installed instead. It is too late in the development cycle to try to test and retrofit the shell scripts to use the busybox alternatives. |
