Delta from R2 Beijing Architecture

There is no delta with respect to architecture, our alignment is the same as in Beijing.

The team is focused on the security requirements, scale out use case and integration with SDC Service Distribution for HPA Use Case.

    • Logging v1.2 Specification - Working with Michael O'Brien and Amdocs to get this work done.

  • Scalability & Resiliency - Maintenance of MVP application components
    • Scalability  POLICY-825 - Getting issue details... STATUS
      • Ericsson will add resiliency to their new Apex PDP Engine. Not MVP to release.
    • Resiliency POLICY-819 - Getting issue details... STATUS
      • Will need to add resiliency for new Policy SDC Service Distribution components. Counting on Alexander Vul and Intel to provide resources to support this.
      • Ericsson will add resiliency to their new Apex PDP Engine. Not MVP to release.
  • Usability - POLICY-839 - Getting issue details... STATUS
    • Will add documentation for Policy SDC Service Distribution component. Counting on Alexander Vul and Intel to provide resources to support this.
    • Ericsson will be adding documentation for Apex PDP Engine. Not MVP to release.
  • Performance -  POLICY-809 - Getting issue details... STATUS
    • Enhance the Drools PDP Performance from Beijing
    • Create the XACML PDP Performance - May not be able to complete due to resource issues.
    • Create the Apex PDP Performance - Ericsson team will be doing this work. Not MVP to release.
  • Stability -  POLICY-814 - Getting issue details... STATUS
    • Will maintain current MVP component stability for Drools PDP and XACML PDP engines.
    • Will add stability to the Policy SDC Service Distribution component. Counting on Alexander Vul to provide Intel resources to support this.
    • Ericsson will be adding stability testing for Apex PDP Engine. Not MVP to release.

Information/Data Model Alignment

Working with Alexander Vul to integrate with Information/Data Model in lieu of building the new Policy SDC Service Distribution component. Counting on Intel to support this integration.

API Updates

There are no changes to the current Policy API. Policy API

We are currently re-designing our API's (eg. Policy Lifecycle API's) to further improve our platform. We expect to begin releasing this in Dublin. When ready we will schedule our current Casablanca API for deprecation.
