    Following the tutorial ,I was in the process of creating a Virt. func. the link pointed to this reference page for vFW zip. This page says "old-please dont use". where to get the new vFW?

    There is a discussion on this "do not use" VFW template in - we should be able to clear this up - as of 20170524 the demo on Rackspace using this 1.0.0 zip template works - it brings up the 3 vms but with the traffic generator not pushing traffic on top of the existing 17 vms from the main template.  The issue below is in reference to the fact that any env overrides in the zip don't seem to get picked up - we always use the sample py defaults (currently only a clean rackspace will enable the demo)

    I would use the env/yaml in gerrit - but that is for 1.1.0 with some key:value changes (the current demo configuration is for 1.0.0)

    The procedure was I expanded the zip, edited the env file - recreated the zip (did not need to modify the manifest json)

      Yes, we can't use the 1.1.0 env/yaml pair in gerrit (the vFW traffic generator scripts are also different) - but it is a setting reference

      Got further when we noticed that the repo has changed recently - so in addition to changing the network/ip names - fix the repo below when you edit the expanded zip before repackaging it.

      without that change your TG VM will not be able to download TG scripts from gerrit and start itself.

        We uploaded and updated example vFW zip based on 1.0.0 as of 20170608 - verified as capable of bringing up the traffic generator
