This page lists the modeling glossary documents generated based on the information model in Papyrus (source code at https://gerrit.onap.org/r/#/admin/projects/modeling/modelspec).


The information model in Papyrus is catagorized into different sub-models, including:

  • Common: concepts either used as the base of other models (i.e., the root model), or related to multiple sub-models
  • Resource: a physical or non-physical component within an enterprise's infrastructure or inventory 
  • Service: the object which operators use ONAP creates to serve their customers 
  • Party: concepts describing the roles within the ONAP system
  • Nf: function block within a network infrastructure that has well-defined external interfaces and well-defined functional behaviour
  • Vnf: implementation of an NF that can be deployed on virtualization infrastructure
  • Pnf: implemenation of an NF via a tightly coupled software and hardware system
  • Ns: composition of Nf and/or Ns, defined by its functional and behavioural specification 
  • VES: VNF Event Streaming, events collected and used within ONAP 
  • License: concepts related to software license used in ONAP
  • Policy: conceptes related to policy management
  • Infrastructure: concepts related to infrastructure
