  1. the package has to end with .csar
  2. remove all unneeded sources from MainServiceTemplate.mf
  3. remove unused imports from MainServiceTemplate.yaml
  4. in MainServiceTemplate.yaml you canto create a relationship using node: tosca.nodes.Root it needs to be a name of an instance in the template you want to connect to. commented out for now.
  5. removed from GlobalSubstatutionService template.yaml all types defined in SDC normatives.
  6. MainServiceTemplate.yaml commented out substitution mapping the type there is not defined in csar.
  7. removed GlobalSubstitutionServiceTemplate.yaml not used in csar.
  8. TOSCA.meta removed unneeded source entries updated the entry point to point to MainServiceTemplate.yaml

    Tks for the list and tracking.

    My observation is that VNF from Nokia is pretty much aligned with TOSCA YAML 1.1 and TOSCA NFV Profile.

    from the review we did, it looks like the node type Nokia are using are not standard.

    they took node types from different purposes some of them without clear definitions.

    example:


    tosca.nodes.nfv.ICP

    an internal port, looks like an exact copy of NFV’s tosca.nodes.nfv.VduCpd (just the name is different)

     

    tosca.nodes.nfv.ECP

    an external port. In the NFV specs, there is no such type. The specs mentions an “external CP” type VnfExtCpd, but does not define it !!!!

     

    tosca.nodes.nfv.VL

    Look for tosca.nodes.nfv.VnfVirtualLinkDesc in the NFV spec

     

    Groups:

    tosca.groups.nfv.ElementGroup

     Not defined anywhere


  3. I agree with your observations. However besides a couple of mistakes in names mostly it is because that the features like Internal and External Connection Points, ElemetGroup etc. while defined as a requirement in ETSI IFA011 still not specified in TOSCA NFV Profile. So the community should be on a hurry to finalize the NFV Profile spec.

    ICP/ECP are probably the most important node types VFC cares about for R1. Can we have a solution for it?

    To my knowledge there is another solution for ECP/ICP based on VDU composition proposed by Huawei. Both solutions will be discussed next week on ETSI NFV f2f meeting. Ask your colleague Shitao Li about it.

    1. No. It is not part of CSD04 you attached. The solution for ECP/ICP is not standardized yet as mentioned previously.

  10. guys this is a proposal i do not think we should use types moreover in the nokia csar i saw types that were used that were later removed in another revision of the same proposal.

    we should use well-defined types.

  11. Michael, As I already mentioned I agree with you and I'm not suggesting to use any proposal that is not part of the agreed spec.

    In case of ECP/ICP there are two competitive proposals that the TOSCA and ETSI have to decide taking also into account how they are compatible with SDC DM.

    All the definitions you mentioned above (composite VDU, ICP/ECP, element group) are underspecified or do not exist so I support all the changes you've done.

    Regarding the tosca.nodes.nfv.SwImage I'm not sure I thought it should be tosca.artifacts.nfv.SwImage..
