SON team joined C&PS call at 8am ET on 10/22. Discussion of how C&PS addresses needs of SON use case.
Yang model:
Target: Model loaded as CSAR via SDC and available to C&PS, SDN-R etc.
POC: Yang model can be entered directly. Model can be handcrafted. Objective is to align with ORAN/3GPP yang model, and also to align with the ONAP target for model handling.
API:
C&PS is transparent. XPath language used to traverse yang tree. Components like SDN-R, PCI-RSI MS, OOF etc can use that to directly access properties based on yang model.
Also discussed if we need a microservice or common code/library etc. to make it easier for other components.
This call:
Sandeep showed the yang model for SON which was derived from ORAN/3GPP.
Need to be able to support PATCH transactions instead of PUT for individual attributes
