• Onboard a new VIM/Cloud instance to ONAP (Bin Yang)
  • In a follow-up to vF2F, Bin asked for advice on how to implement a globally unique vim ID (concatenation of cloud owner and cloud-region-id).
  • Bin presented a long-term and short-term option (short term uses existing APIs and concatenates the strings using a special character such as _, #, or : ).
  • ARC preferred long-term option (update models and APIs), rather than introduce a temporary mechanism only to phase it out.
  • Bin to follow up with affected teams.
