This page shows the differences between the current clean version model with ETSI IFA011 v2.5.1 and other proposed changes:

  1. Meaning of color coding: BOLD RED implies it is a change to make to the Vnfd model for R4. BOLD BLUE indicates an enhancement ONAP has made and would like to propose back to the ETSI community. BOLD PURPLE  represents candidates for deprecation in support of HPA.
  2. The original tables came from R2 CLEAN and not from Papyrus.
  3. Verified against IFA011 v2.5.1 and IFA015 v2.5.1
  4. Added "Attribute Type" column to indicate whether the class attribute is an "attribute" or member end of an "association". Without this information it is difficult to create a class diagram. We might want to consider also for those "Attribute Types" that are associations to put whether there is shared or composite aggregation, or no aggregation at all.  Note: This will not be necessary when model is put into Papyrus, as all associations will start with "_"
  5. Changed attribute Applied Stereotypes to represent the actual stereotypes being applied, and not just a property of a stereotype. Note: When the model is in Papyrus, GenDoc will output this field correctly.
  6. Added class definitions and applied stereotypes. Note: GenDoc will do this correctly when the model is in Papyrus.
  7. Proposal to define actual enums and not use the general term "Enum". Make sure the model captures these correctly in Papyrus.
  8. Proposal to remove incorrect usage of valueRange in OpenModelAttribute stereotype. Make sure this is not incorrectly propagated to Papyrus.

The AffinityOrAntiAffinityGroup class describes the affinity or anti-affinity relationship.

For NSs, those rules are applicable between the VNF instances created using different VnfProfiles, the Virtual Link instances created using different VlProfiles or the nested NS instances created using different NsProfiles.

For VNFs, those rules are applicable between the virtualization containers to be created based on different VDUs, or between internal VLs to be created based on different VnfVirtualLinkDesc(s).

Per VNF, the affinity / anti-affinity rules defined using this class, using the LocalAffinityOrAntiAffinityRule datatypet, and using the placement constraints in the GrantLifecycleOperation as defined in ETSI GS NFV IFA 007 should be conflict-free. The vendor may provide this information as a guidance for creating PmJobs if needed.

NOTE: The MANO or NFVI may not support the recommended collectionPeriod based on their functionalities, and can reject the requests based on the recommended collectionPeriod in this case.

    1. It is identified as being obsolete

  1. Hi Jessie and et all,

Per our January 14, 2019 call discussion, I checked the ETSI NFV IFA WG maintenance release plan for IFA011 and IFA014 v2.6.1 (next maintenance release).

The latest version available on the portal:

    IFA011ed261: https://docbox.etsi.org/ISG/NFV/Open/Drafts/IFA011ed261/NFV-IFA011ed261v255.zip

    IFA014ed261: https://docbox.etsi.org/ISG/NFV/Open/Drafts/IFA014ed261/NFV-IFA014ed261v254.zip

My recommendation is to use these two above drafts for your analysis.

Also, the window of opportunity for submitting Change Request (CR) toward IFA011ed261 and IFA014ed261 is closed.

Therefore, we should focus on IFA011 and IFA014 version 2.7.1 (maintenance release) going forward.

    regards,

    Thinh

    1. Our goal for R4 is to align with v2.5.1

  2. Hi Xu, Jessie and Thinh,

The top of this Wiki page says that the contents has been verified against IFA011 v2.5.1. So, I'm not sure why the following attributes appear in BLUE: vlanTransparent, dhcpEnabled, networkType, and initiationParameters? These attributes have been incorporated in IFA011 Ed251 (published in August 2018).

    1. Yes, I'm going to delete those attributes as they now appear in the protocol data types.

  3. According to the text at the top of this Wiki page BOLD BLUE indicates an enhancement ONAP has made and would like to propose back to the ETSI community.

I think we should distinguish two cases

    a) The attribute is truly missing in IFA011 (e.g. vmBootUpTimeOut)

    b) The attribute appears in IFA011 but the data type specification had been deliberatly left to the DM (i.e. SOL001/SOL006).design stage (e.g. LocalizationLanguage)

In the 2nd case, there is a need to check whether the "enhancement ONAP has made" is identical/compatible with the data type representation selected in SOL001/SOL006.

    1. Hi Bruno, I've created a separate page only showing the potential feedback to ETSI (Potential Feedback to ETSI IFA011 v2.5.1), in which the "category" column shows different kinds of changes we've made in ONAP, hope it helps.

For the DM check with SOL001/006, it's reasonable, but I'm not sure if we have enough time to provide them before next week's F2F meeting.

      1. Hi Xu,

Yes this new page is helpful. I assume "value specified" means "type specified", right?

The consistency check with SOL001/006 can be done as part of the IFA discussion.

        1. Hi Bruno, actually the "value specified" covers both "value specified" and "type specified" cases, you need to check the bold blue text. However, most of them are "type specified". I could name them separately if it's better.
