2Dynamic discovery of RAN & Core endpoints

  • The issue: In the current implementation, Core endpoints are need before a slice is created, however, Core CNFs' IP addresses are not available until CNFs are instantiated as part of slice allocation.
  • We will have the same issue for RAN endpoint discovery if RAN FNs are dynamically instantiated instead of pre-instantiated as currently done.
  • Suggestions: Pre-configure DC gateway/server and get the CNFs' IP addresses via gateway/server. Details need to be worked out.

  • Currently not implemented/listed. It can be done not by providing an API but by steps of finding nodes and then p-interfaces.
