DESCRIPTION
The Policy subsystem of ONAP maintains, distributes, and operates on the set of rules that underlie ONAP’s control, orchestration, and management functions. Policy provides a centralized environment for the creation and management of easily-updatable conditional rules. It enables users to validate policies and rules, identify and resolve overlaps and conflicts, and derive additional policies where needed. The following operations are supported by the policy API:
- Create policies on the PAP
- Update policies on the PAP
- Delete policies on the PAP or PDP
- Push policies from the PAP to the PDP
- List policies on the PDP
- Get config data of policies on the PDP
- Create Dictionary Items
- Update Dictionary Items
- Retrieve Dictionary Items
- Import Micro Services Models
- Retrieve Metrics for policy counts from PDP and PAP

Hello, I was able to compile Policy components and tried to use
ConfigFirewallPolicyClient
test class to send a new policy configuration using the Config_FW_Sample.json provided above. I've updated config.properties to point to our Policy server. However I've stumbled on the error about undefined CLIENT_KEY and CLIENT_ID. I tried a couple values but nothing works. What exactly should be populated there? I couldn't find any examples in the wikis... Thanks a lot!Pamela Dragosh
Sure thing. Can you provide the error log exactly? I'm sure Tarun Tej Velaga could help figure out the problem. I'm assuming you used the master branch.
Evguenia (Jane) Freider
Well, if CLIENT_ID and CLIENT_KEY are emtpy I get an error that they are required values and cannot be empty. When I populate something I get a permission error as follows:
Error! PE100 - Permissions Error: :401:You are not allowed to Make this Request. Please contact PolicyAdmin to give access to: createPolicy
So it seems these variables represent an access key of some kind but I have no idea where to find it.
Evguenia (Jane) Freider
Tarun Tej Velaga and Pamela Dragosh - any ideas about my question above? Thank you.
Pamela Dragosh
We think that you need these headers:
--header 'ClientAuth: cHl0aG9uOnRlc3Q=' --header 'Authorization: Basic dGVzdHBkcDphbHBoYTEyMw=='
Evguenia (Jane) Freider
Thank you Pamela. Should I be able to use the same keys while connecting to PAP API via CURL? I'm getting 401 authorized message
Also not sure how the above values would correspond to config.properties file for the
ConfigFirewallPolicyClient
Java test program?Should I set
CLIENT_ID='cHl0aG9uOnRlc3Q='
CLIENT_KEY='dGVzdHBkcDphbHBoYTEyMw=='

Is there really a parameter called ecompName? Should that be updated to onapName?
