If this project is coming from an existing proprietary codebase, ensure that all proprietary trademarks, logos, product names, etc. have been removed. All ONAP deliverables must comply with this rule and be agnostic of any proprietary symbols.

Free and Open Source Software

FOSS activities are critical to the delivery of the whole ONAP initiative. The information may not be fully available at Release Planning, however to avoid late refactoring, it is critical to accomplish this task as early as possible.
List all third party Free and Open Source Software used within the release and provide License type (BSD, MIT, Apache, GNU GPL,... ).
In the case non Apache License are found inform immediately the TSC and the Release Manager and document your reasoning on why you believe we can use a non Apache version 2 license.

Each project must edit its project table available at Project FOSS.

    1. Since the functionality of NS LCM (Instantiation, Termination, Healing, Scaling) is covered in the scope of VFC and also Nested NSs has been covered under "long term roadmap" of VFC, can we have more clarity on the use case of SO-VFC integration, covered in point 3 under scope? 
    2. Under "API Incoming Dependencies" parser API is listed. Are we assuming that parser will be an external module? As per my understanding both parser and workflow engine shall be intrinsic to VFC. It is fine to list these under "Third Party Product Dependencies" as VFC project is dependent on WSO2/Aria.
    3. It will give us more clarity if In/Out APIs of VFC is listed per (inter-dependent) ONAP module interfacing with VFC along with API Description/Purpose. It will also help us not only clearly define the dependencies but also reconcile requirements from other ONAP projects. Further deliberation of these APIs may be done at design time. Suggesting a sample below,

      1?Added a note to clarify that VF-C will take part in part in E2E Service Orchestration initiated by SO.
      2, We will be using the parser provided by modeling project.
      3, All the APIs are captured in the "Incoming API Dependencies" section, except for the third one, would you clarify that? We believe it is contained as contraints in NSD/VNFD, not in separate policies.

  1. On the architecture diagram as well as in the current seed code, I see an SFC driver to interface with SDN controller to set up SFC.   May I know if this driver is in the scope of Release 1? If not, any plan to use this driver in the future releases? Can current SDN-C in ONAP support this driver? Thanks!

    1. The SFC driver is not in the scope of Release 1,but we have the seed code from Open-O.Currently,we have no plan to use this driver,but we may use it to set up SFC in some senariao in the future release.
