The PNF PnP flow is method, which allows to register within ONAP/AAI a PNF resource instance. This PNF resource instance is correlated with an existing service instance.
Once a PNF resource is registered, the infrastructure service instantiation flows are able to continue the service instantiation, by calling controllers, which in turn configure the PNF instance.
Main PNF PnP use-case components
There are 2 main components involved in the 5G/PNF PNP use-case:
- The SO sub-workflow (bound to vCPE resource instance creation workflows)
- Creates the AAI entry for a PNF Instance,
- Re-hydrates, when the PNF instance registers
- The PNF-Registration-Handler micro-service
- Consumes the pnfRegistration messages from PNFs,
- Updates the AAI entries for PNFs, which have registered in ONAP
