The following describes Data Model based on the ETSI v3.3.1 SOL001 VNFD plus CNF enhancements, which came from 4.1.1.

  • 2.7.x for backward compatibility during SDC onboarding + 3.3.1 with CNF enhancements
    • If the type is changed, separate properties for 2.7.x and 3.3.1 will be used
  • As the ETSI SOL001 WG produces a stable draft/release of SOL001 4.X specification , we expect to update the data model to align with that specifcation.

    • values must be in format etsivnfm:v3.3.1 or <int>:<string>
    • this is not enforced by constraint in type definition in ONAP
  • property "vnf_profile" has not changed, but it is commented out in existing version in ONAP
  • new attribute "scale_status" added

  1. Hi Fred, for the osContainerGroup type, have you considered to use the TOSCA group type to model it?

    1. Xu Yang We did consider using TOSCA group types,  but the TOSCA group type in v1.3 does not seem to support requirements and artifacts, both of which we think we needed to support the VDU information.

  2. Hi Byung-Woo Jun Fernando Oliveira

There is a mismatch between this page and the examples give on CSAR Models, whereby the requirement "container_binding" has been added to vduCp in the examples but that is not described here in the model changes. Presumably the examples are correct and it is missing in the model description here

    1. Hi Michael,

Yes, you are correct.  I missed adding the container_binding to the page.  I will update the page with the correct info.

In subsequent discussions with SOL WG, a different approach was adopted, ie remove the Vdu.Compute node requirement from the virtual_binding so that requirement could be reused with Vdu.OsContainerGroup.

  3. Hi Michael Morris Fernando Oliveira

There is the description for VduCP as follows:

    vduCp Data Model

    • tosca.nodes.nfv.VduCP
    • No Change since 2.7.1

Do you need an explicit VduCP data model?

If you do, Fred and I can provide it here. Thanks.
