Hello, I am currently investigating HTTP/HTTPS Proxy to support for A1 Southbound communications, and would like to understand about the benefit to having such HTTP/HTTPS Proxy. So, could you please pointing out some benefits (or even business benefits) to having HTTP/HTTPS Proxy support within "A1 Adapter & A1 Policy Management Service". Thank you!

Advantages

• Security 
• Split of networks and data-centers
• Split of OAM and RAN domains - avoiding flooding OAM networks with RAN packets and vice versa 
• For A1 - necessary to "filter" A1 connections only

  • Andy Mayer A model should be agreed in ONAP. Lots of previous discussions in ONAP - e.g. what goes in A&AI and CPS ... but that was a while ago.
