Goals (Architecture Evolution)
  • Target is common LCM API in CCSDK usable by different controller personas to simplify for both clients and controller implementations
  • Support PNFs for applicable LCM operations in a consistent way
  • Enable use of CDS blueprint processor to customize behavior of LCM operations in the 'self-service' category
    • In ONAP R4, CDS can be used for pre/post-instantiation configuration. Generic and model-driven design should allow CDS usage to be extended for additional operations and use cases.
  • Evolution steps that preserve backwards compatibility for clients

QUESTION: Can we show things already Demoed? Yes. It is good to demo the "basic" stuff because the ORAN people in attendance are new to the ONAP use cases.

QUESTION: Who is the audience? ORAN (new members), ONAP. Held worldwide

QUESTION: How long will we have for each demo? 10 minutes, 5 min of Q&A, + a few minutes for logistics changing of demos.

QUESTION: New S/W Code, Demo R5/R6? No new S/W build is expected

QUESTION: Simulators vs Real DUs? Simulators can be used.

QUESTION: Timeline for development ends end of Oct/beginning of Nov? No new S/W is expected to be developed.

QUESTION: Slideware? Context, give Background. of the 10 min a few minutes to set the stage w/ slides. linkages to ORAN & ORAN S/W community. 3-4 slides Max. ORAN would request a separate break-out sessions for more information.
